Our client is one of the top brokerages in the Forex industry. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an experienced Head of IT with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and software development, particularly within financial markets. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the IT operations, enhancing system infrastructure, and leading digital transformation initiatives to support the company’s trading platforms and security measures, with specific experience in MT4 & MT5 platforms.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a strategic leader to join our team as the Head of IT. This role involves managing the IT department, ensuring the robustness of IT systems, and aligning IT infrastructure with business goals to enhance operational efficiency and security, especially across diverse markets (UAE, Southeast Asia, and China).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the IT department and oversee the technology infrastructure of the company.
- Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, particularly with MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms.
- Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.
- Collaborate with other department heads to facilitate digital transformation and improve IT-related aspects of business operations.
- Research and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage, with a focus on expanding and optimizing operations in Asian markets.
- Manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Provide direct support and leadership to the IT team, including hiring, training, and professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices, particularly those relevant to the forex industry in Asia.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in managing IT operations within a financial trading or forex environment.
- Proven track record in IT strategy, infrastructure management, and digital transformation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and robust network architectures.
- Strong understanding of domain name registrations in China.
- Demonstrable experience with MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 trading platforms.
- Experience operating in the FX markets in Asia, including China, and understanding the regulatory and business landscape in these regions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
