Manager – IT Portfolio Management Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project & Change Management: Facilitate the execution of the road map and Change Portfolio in line with the capacity and demand planning. Continuous review of the Portfolio through various forums like Portfolio Management Reviews meeting, Focus Meetings and highlight the KPI’s through standard dashboards, facilitating the issue/risk mitigations to deliver the Portfolio within time, cost and quality
  • Commercial & Financial Management: Monitoring, Controlling and Processing of all purchase requisitions related to the Portfolio ensuring all controls and checks are followed diligently and by making sure timely processing of all invoices, facilitating timely capitalization of completed portfolio
  • Quality Management: Working alongside of the QMG team to carry out the internal review of the ongoing portfolio and facilitating early warning signals and thereby ensuring quality of the project delivery
  • Process Improvement: Drive Process Improvement initiatives. Identify appropriate methodologies and best practices and create standards, guidelines. Define standard planning methodologies used to ensure consistent and repeatable project development performance. Change Management: Support and Manage the IT Change Management Process
  • Stakeholder management for Projects and change Portfolio: Work closely with different business partners/product owners/technology teams to align the portfolio demand vs capacity.
  • Review the prerequisites required for initiation of Portfolio (Technical assessments, business case, required documentation): Review and support Governance Operation in execution of Portfolio via the committees.
  • Ensuring audit involvement in IT Roadmap and that any findings are managed by team.
  • Delivery teams for the status of the key KPI’s of the Portfolio
  • Report/Update IT management on the Run & Change the Bank status, facilitate the decisions required

Key Requirements:

  • Good understanding of service management processes and project management methodologies, frameworks trends related to IT Services.
  • Good understanding of IT governance compliance and standards in the banking and financial services industry
  • Good understanding of one of more enterprise grade IT PPM platforms and tools (modules, workflows, dashboards, reports)
  • Relatively strong and independent on key attributes: Leadership, Communication, Conflict Resolution, People Management, Financial Management, Action Orientation, Stakeholder Management
  • Min. 8 years of IT disciplines in Program Management, Portfolio Management, & IT Governance.
  • Strong financial management experience including budgeting, capex, opex, estimation and cost management
  • IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required and banking qualifications
