The future of logistics is being defined by LODD, which uses unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, drone fleet management, and ground communication and control systems.

Job Summary: This position involves a holistic approach, coordinating the design, implementation, and maintenance of UAV / EVTOL systems to ensure they meet specified requirements and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives.

Certification and Qualification:

  • Generate and analyse certification basis.
  • Develop and implement verification and validation plans to ensure that the system meets specified airworthiness requirements (EASA, FAA etc.) and related standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, and test plans, to facilitate qualification and certification plans.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to system development.

System Architecture Design:

  • Develop system architecture, defining the structure and components needed to meet requirements, considering factors such as functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Define and manage interfaces between system components, ensuring compatibility and effective communication between subsystems.

Configuration Management:

  • Implement and manage configuration control processes to track changes to the system throughout its lifecycle.
  • Contribute to system lifecycle planning, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering, with a focus on UAV/eVTOL projects.
  • Strong expertise in requirements management and configuration management processes.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in software tools, such as DOORS, JIRA, or others relevant to the aviation industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
