System Administrator – LINUX

In MICROAVIA we are developing a drone-in-a-box solution for critical infrastructure & perimeter surveillance. The heart of the system is server-side software that puts together drones, landing stations, client computers, and other devices. Users have full control over any drone connected to the system, including live video streaming. Operation of the system is highly automated, server software controls all operations: performing flights according to schedule, battery swap, preflight checks, missions uploading, downloading high resolution data after flight, and many other necessary things. A typical setup may count up to 100 drones-in-a-box.

We develop all mechanics, electronics, on-board and ground software ourselves, which allows us to effectively integrate all components with each other and quickly solve issues and implement new features.

We use a wide range of modern technologies and programming languages in our work: C++17, Python, Golang, JavaScript, Typescript, WebGL, GStreamer, and WebRTC. Embedded platforms are STM32, NVIDIA Jetson Nano/Orin NX.

Desktop Support/System Administrator

IT Support:

Provide IT support for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
Address helpdesk tickets promptly and ensure user satisfaction.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees by managing accounts, permissions, and devices.


System Administration:

Manage Microsoft 365 tools and systems, including user accounts and permissions.
Provide user support and training on Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook).
Assist in regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance.

IT End User Services Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides 1st and 2nd level IT support to Vertiv users at the E&I Ras Al Khaimah facility as part of the EMEA End User Computing team. Manages and administers IT infrastructure and systems in alignment with local business needs and global corporate policies. Responsibilities include hardware and software configuration, maintenance, user training, documentation, and IT equipment procurement. Contributes to global IT projects focused on service enhancement and new technology implementation, while recommending continuous improvements. Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge through training and reports directly to the Regional IT Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

User Support & Issue Resolution

Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to Vertiv employees, ensuring timely resolution of incidents beyond the Service Desk’s scope.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues proactively and efficiently.
Respond to service desk tickets, outages, and user requests via phone, email, or incident management tools, ensuring accurate ticket tracking and escalation.
Deliver on-site, hands-on support for IT project implementations and urgent technical issues.
Provide user training, onboarding support, and consult employees on the effective use of existing technologies.
