MBR Partners is seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer for a leading client in the UAE.
Key Performance Indicators / Key responsibilities and deliverables:
• Infrastructure DevOps: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Overall responsibility: Responsible for implementation, testing and operation of HW/SW components of NFV
• Orchestration and automation of all software and configurations development lifecycle processes
• Automated event recovery, monitoring and anomaly detection.
Detailed job description, responsibilities:
• Responsible for implementation, testing and operation of HW/SW components of NFV
• Maintains best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company’s products and services
• Communication and cooperation with 3rd parties/ vendors
• Participates on solving and eliminating of ops issues (incl. Ticket escalations)
• Responsible for preparation and administration of the technical documentation.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Several years of experience in system administration or cloud operations
• Hands On Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHCE)
• Hands on experience with Continuous delivery tools (GIT, Jenkins, or Ansible)
• Hands on experience Experience with cloud/NFV technologies on Openstack platform
• Work Experience with Openshift will be plus
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
• Good understanding of ETSI NFV architecture, building blocks and functionalities
• Good understanding of monitoring solutions (Prometheus or Zabbix) is a plus
• General knowledge of network protocols (Open SDN experience is a plus)
• Experience implementing/supporting Kubernetes is a plus.
